Hello everyone! Had planned for the next post to be a Valentine card but I decided to make a birthday card. I always have a hard time time making cards for my FIL. Hello everyone! Hope your week has gone great so far. Its been a pretty good week for me, the weather here has just been amazing here in Texas last two days. It was 76 outside in Jan! Meant to have this posted yesterday but I took a hour and forty min bike ride which I so needed.  Then had to come home and cook and make another card for another birthday coming up. But I will say I felt like this week I have been able to get a lot done. Made the week go by fast....lol
Anyway I wanted to pop in and share this card. He loves fireman and police and such so I had to use the cute little fire dog.
I used the create a critter cartridge, I have to say hands down the best cart you can buy. I have used this so much it has paid for itself over and over again. Cant say enough about this cart. Last two days I got to bike ride some which was great since it had been little cold to ride. Today I biked 9 miles, so looking forward to them completing the new bridge for walking and biking. Means I will be able to go much farther once they get it completed over the road that is crazy busy and a added plus Micheal's is just right across the road so it will be super easy to get to. What I most will enjoy I wont lie...lol. Anyways that is what I have been up to also got some crafting in yesterday, made this Valentine's card. And just thought I share. Valentine's card

Well it is once again that time of year, time for making Valentine's day cards and such.

I dont make a bunch of them but I do make some for family and have to make my BFF one....lol This is the first card of the Valentines cards to come. I made this one for my mom, kinda had mental block going at the time I made this. Sometimes no matter what just seems like you cant figure out what to do, this was one of those days. Wanted to try something different a new layout but know I have done this style card before. I find I use a lot of flowers on my cards, I am trying to break that habit. But its so hard cause I love paper flowers....lol
Anyway hope you all have had a great week. I am still working on this time management thing....lol Its one of my new years goals for me. Just got the last of Christmas down Friday, but I kinda wanted to enjoy some of the decorations a little longer. The tree was gone the week after Christmas though since we use a real tree. I loved Christmas but I was so glad it was over, had been a ruff year for us. So I was ready for a new year and rid the old year good bye...lol Cant believe we are already half way through Jan. And we finally got winter weather here in Texas, had been in the 70's up to about mid Dec. Then Christmas day we had snow and it took us 4 hours to get home that day when it normally is a two hour drive. And yesterday we had a surprise snow was not much but sure was cold. Have not been biking much cause its been to cold or windy, so missing it. I did go last Friday even though it was windy but it was 70 outside I did not care I was going...lol I rode 8 miles and I fought my way back home in the wind but it was to pretty to not go. Anyways so that is what I have been up to just catching up on stuff and making some time to craft and get some riding in when I can. Will have another post very soon thanks for looking. :)

Male Birthday card

Yeah I am back with a card! As promised I am starting back crafting and blogging. Since my nephews birthday is coming up thought I start off with making a birthday card for him. He is turning 19! I cant believe it, seemed like yesterday he was 5. He is now in college and is doing great so proud of him. Anyways I wanted to make him a card that was simple and grown up. I always have a hard time making male cards. Did not have any of this card planned out, I just started making it and went what come to me. I cut stripes of left over paper and began gluing them down to scrap piece of paper. The banner was a accident I noticed that one piece of paper strip I had put on the card did not adhere in the middle and then I thought hum I could put a banner through there and a huge brad. As I said its simple, was super easy to make. Thanks for looking and hope everyone has had a great first week of the new year. As always supplies listed below.

Late Happy New Year!

Well I know the first day of 2013 is almost gone but wanted to still say to everyone happy new year. I hope everyone has had a safe and great new years. Its that that time of year to make resolutions to lose weight, or healthy or get organized. I used to make long list of what I want to accomplish for the near year and of course get organized on top of the list. This year for me I am not making list list cause the things I wont to change can not be accomplished by a list to check off.

I want to work on becoming a better person and working towards a better life. I feel like I have lost the old me the person I was in the 10 years. I want to find that person again. And I want to work towards bettering our life, our finances and our home. Have purpose other than to make sure bills are paid and the house is clean. I want to have a life I am proud of sometimes I feel like I live such a small life. When people ask "what do you do" I hang my head and say I am a housewife. Then I know the dreaded question is coming "Oh how many children do you have" none. I then feel even worse, its like I can feel the judgment in there voice. I know some will say you should not care what others think and that is true, but its me who has to be okay with it. And the truth is I am not, so these are things I plan to work on this year, even if I only can make small changes it will be getting me on the road to where I want to be. That is my resolution for 2013 besides learning not to right 2012....lol

I am sorry if this post sounds down and out its not meant to be just want to put it out there so I can remind myself and have a goal. And also as I said in my Christmas post I am blogging again. I am sorry I was away so long but I am back, I have really missed blogging and sharing. That is a goal for me this year as well to make sure I have this blog no matter what. So be looking for some craftiness really soon.

I wish you all a happy healthy 2013 I hope its a great year for you all.
