Last Easter Card

Okay I promise this is the last Easter card...lol I had a little rabbit left over begging to be made into a card. And I got to use the last of the scrap Easter paper I had, love that. Less scrap paper to put up.

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. I have been really busy last two days. Been going through very old paper work I am on day three now. I have filled our huge recycle can with shredded papers. Wish I would have done this before we moved but I did not have time to, better late than never. I had bills dating back to 2007 now mind you they all were in order of date but still really...lol I can tell you one thing when you do a paper purge it feels good, I don't know why. I guess cause less clutter means more space and less time spending on it organizing it. Anyway back to work on the paper purge I am almost done finally! Just needed a small break today so thought I would make a card and share it with you. Thanks for looking!

We have been getting the last of the outside items we left at the old place when we moved. Yes we moved a while back ...lol but my dad had been staying at the place we had rented. But after this next week we are done. Anyway today after I got a few things done around the house I worked on some more Easter cards. I made these all the same cause I needed a few for friends and family. Needed simple and fast I used an idea out of my sketch book I made. For those interested in japan relief donating

Passing this on, seen this post on Creating cupcakes blog you can see her post here with the project she made with this stamp set. My cute stamps are donating 7.99 to the Japan relief fund when you buy this stamp set. Normally don't post something like this but felt this is worth passing on, ever little bit helps and you get a cute stamp set. My heart goes out to those who have been impacted by this unbelievable event and it seems to get worse as time goes on. Today on tv I seen a mom and little girl reunited after the friday earthquake, I am not a mom but cant imagine what it would be like to not know if you child is alive for days. The good ending was she is and they hugged and held each other while mom and little girl is crying tears of joy, that got me.
From my cute stamps web site:
My Cute Stamps will donate $7.99 to the Japanese Disaster Relief for each Konnichiwa stamp set that is sold this week.

Please help us raise some money by either purchasing this stamp set or by letting your friends on Twitter & Facebook know. Thank you for your help!

My pink stamper Blog hop

Hey hope every one's Sunday is going well, and don't forget to set the clocks forward. I am so ready for spring just not looking forward to the storms but we really need the rain. Anyway speaking of spring, Robyn at My pink stamper is having a blog hop. Her challenge is make something springy. The my pink stamper designers did wonderful projects for the challenge. And if you don't know what a hop is you can swing over to her site and check it out, its where you keep going to her next designer and you keep going down the blog list to see what they did with there projects. I am not a designer for her but she invited anyone to join in and post there projects for the challenge. So I made a card, shock I know since most everything I do is cards...lol But for this card I did not want to do the floral spring card, I wanted to do something different. And I got to thinking when I think of spring I think of getting all the spring clothing from the packed totes. So why not a "Get out the spring clothes" card. Hope you go check out the blog hop and thanks for looking, have a great Sunday.

Here is a simple Birthday card, and did not take to long at all. The happy birthday was cut using cricut gypsy wanderings. And the papers are scrap papers I had, I still have lots of scraps I am trying to use up. The card stock for the background I did use a new sheet. I was going for simple, and even the stamping I did on the same color card stock. Oh ps the bottom part with the ribbon that was from a card I got and was throwing out. Liked it so thought hum I think I could reuse that. So before you throw cards out look at those cards and see if there is anything you can reuse. Thanks for looking!

Crafters companion

A few months ago when I ordered some items from custom crops I got the crafter's companion repositionable spray and the stick away. I had seen this product being used by other cricut owners and they seemed to have liked it. To me the two main reasons I wanted to try this was the fact that buying mats can get very costly. And the other reason is that if I can extend the life of the mat that is less waste, a little green. So I wanted to share my thoughts on the application and my review of it. The stick away was pretty easy to use, you spray it on let it set a few mins. It says to use a rag to wipe the sticky off but I found that it still left a film. So I took a old plastic card and scraped it after applying a second coat of stick away. It seemed to work very well removing it, I rinsed the mat off after I was done. So after a few mins I made sure it was dry and took painters tape and taped off the borders of the mat that I did not want the glue at. Then took it OUTSIDE...lol on some news paper and began spraying. I did a few coats really was not sure how much I needed. And after I was done I let it set a few and then took the painters tape off and put the plastic cover back on. It seemed very tacky, so today I thought I would try it.
When I took the plastic off it seemed to take some of the glue with it, maybe I did not give it enough time to set. I was still able to cut without no problem, paper never moved. I will say I am impressed with crafter's companion, I will put another coat of the stick and stray on and let it set longer before placing the plastic back on. So do I think its worth buying yes, after you use it once you will know how much you need to spray on. But with that said I will try to limit how much I use it. Where I see this paying off is if you cut on 12 x 24 mats, those cost so much this will save you money no doubt. I will be getting a new mat and I think I am going to get the imagine mat they work in the expression as well. Heard its better far as the stickiness. By the way if you want to try the crafter's companion custom crops has it on sale. Make sure you get the stick away and the repositionable stick. And practice on a mat that you can no longer cut on, so you can learn how much to use. Thanks for stopping by.

I am back

Well hello again I am finally back for good! What a few weeks it has been. I am very sorry to leave any readers without new post but it was very much unplanned. We had Gene's mom and dad in town they came in on the last day of Jan and they stayed till the 24th of Feb. So my craft room was very hard to get in since its the guest room as well. After this I am rethinking the guest room as / craft room. Its might be office/ craft room...lol And to top that off during this time they were in town we had to take down a fence and move a storage building in put the fence back up. That took a couple days to get the fence up. And during the fence repair I went to go help my dad since he was moving on the 22nd of feb. Its funny men will say oh yeah everything is packed and I get there and there stuff every where..lol Anyway he needed the help and since he helped us move it was time return the favor. Plus I got to say good by to our old home. We lived there 15 years so it was sad the last time I shut the door, many good memories. Anyway I wont bore you with more details there was lots more that went on, but I want to blog about crafting finally!.....lol
